Description
Armor plates of the highest (sixth) level of protection according to DSTU 8782:2018, which withstands three hits of an armor-piercing bullet of B-32 or other rifles corresponding to the caliber, as well as from damage by fragments of various sizes, ricochets and shrapnel and all bullets of other calibers according to the DSTU 8782:2018 test standards.
The composite is formed by combining ceramic elements of silicon carbide (SiC) and a pressed substrate of UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene). The coverage of the ceramic element is 85%, with indentations of 20-25 mm from the edges (230-275 mm). Each of the composite materials is designed to perform a corresponding function when hit by a bullet - the ceramic layer works as a destroyer of the penetrating element of the bullet (mostly this is a thermoset core), the NVMPE lining prevents the bullet remnants from penetrating through the armor plate and takes on most of the energy from the hit and distributes it evenly.
The armor plate has been tested in a certified laboratory (withstands 3 hits of 7B3-323 bullets (7.62x54 BZ2 - armor-piercing incendiary)), a copy of the test report can be provided with the plates upon request of the buyer.
All Bronyx armor plates are manufactured at our own production facilities in Ukraine.
These plates have a standardized Shooter's Cut shape (i.e. with beveled corners) and a convenient anatomical bend of the R400 standard (radius 400mm).
M – size 250 by 300 mm, weight 2.9 kg, chest volume up to 110 cm (+-5 cm). This is a standardized size that will fit most plate carriers.
Important! If the body armor cover does not have a damping lining between the chest and the armor plate, we recommend using a damper that is inserted under the armor plate in the body armor cover. The damper helps reduce the obstacle deformation that occurs when hitting high-energy impact elements.
