Pair of BRONYX Medium Class 5 Protection Ballistic Plates

The BRONYX Medium Class 5 set consists of two ballistic plates designed for use in plate carriers and body armour. The plates combine a ceramic composite and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, providing a high level of ballistic protection in accordance with DSTU 8782:2018 requirements.

The plate construction is based on a silicon carbide (SiC) and UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) composite. The ceramic layer is designed to defeat the penetrating element of the projectile, while the polyethylene backing retains fragments and bullet residue while helping to distribute impact energy over a larger area.

The plates feature a standardised Shooter's Cut shape with bevelled upper corners, improving mobility and compatibility with modern plate carriers. The anatomical curve in two planes (3D Multi Curved) ensures comfortable body conformity and promotes even weight distribution during extended wear.

In accordance with DSTU 8782:2018, the plates meet Class 5 protection and provide protection against 7.62х39 mm AP incendiary rounds, 7.62х54 mm LPS rounds, as well as threats from lower protection classes, fragments, shrapnel, and ricochets.
