Armor plate Bronyx Large 5th class

Lightweight and comfortable class 5 armor plate made of a composite of silicon carbide (SiC) and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), capable of protecting you from bullets 57-BZ-231 (7.62x39 BZ - armor-piercing incendiary), 57-N-232s (7.62x54 LPS) and bullets present in lower classes of DSTU 8782:2018, as well as from damage by fragments of various sizes, ricochets and shrapnel.

Corresponds to the 5th class of protection according to DSTU 8782:2018.

The armor plate has been tested in a certified laboratory (withstands 3 hits of bullets 57-BZ-231 (7.62x39 BZ - armor-piercing incendiary) and 57-N-232s (7.62x54 LPS). from 10 meters), a copy of the test report can be provided together with the plates at the request of the buyer.

The composite is formed by combining ceramic elements of silicon carbide (SiC) and a pressed substrate of ULCMPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene). Each of the materials of the composite is designed to perform a corresponding function when hit by a bullet - the ceramic layer works as a destroyer of the penetrating element of the bullet (mostly this is a thermoset core), the ULCMPE substrate prevents the bullet remnants from penetrating through the armor plate and takes on most of the energy from the hit and distributes it evenly.

Standardized Shooter's Cut plate shape (i.e. with beveled corners) and convenient anatomical bending in 2 planes.

Bending in two planes (3d multi curved technology) improves comfort during daily use of armor plates, as it closely follows the shape of the chest, ensures maximum fit to the body and even distribution of the plate's weight.

All Bronyx armor plates are manufactured at our own production facilities in Ukraine.

L - size 260 by 330 mm, weight 2.9 kg, chest volume 111-118 cm. These are enlarged plates that fit enlarged plate carriers of sizes L/XL, we recommend carefully checking the size of the armor plate pocket.

Important! If the body armor cover does not have a damping pad between the chest and the armor plate, we recommend using a damper that is inserted under the armor plate in the body armor cover. The damper helps reduce the over-the-counter deformation that occurs when hitting high-energy impact elements, such as 7.62x54 LPS bullets.
