Description
BOA Constricting IV Band XL is a venous tourniquet of an anatomical round shape for intravenous manipulation of particularly large, large-volume limbs.
Appointment:
The BOA Constricting IV Band XL tourniquet is designed to temporarily stop bleeding to the upper extremities during intravenous operations, such as drip or catheter placement.
Description:
North American Rescue's BOA XEl venipuncture tourniquet is a resilient metal spring covered in flexible white rubber. At one end (primary) there is a buckle-valve (mother), at the other - a buckle-tail (dad). When in use, the shank locks into the latch and locks the mechanism, allowing you to use the NAR BOA harness without tying knots or fussing with buckles like a belt. This reduces the risk of skin pinching and also facilitates application in confined circumstances, allowing the BOA to be operated with even a few fingers of one hand.
Features:
The North American Rescue BOA Extra Large venous tourniquet is equipped with a quick fixing mechanism called Quick Click. It allows you to lock the free end of the harness in a buckle at its beginning, obtaining an even, regular circle. After the BOA Band has been worn on the arm like a watch, it is rolled down the limb, creating pressure and forcing blood from the body to the end of the limb. This makes it easier to find veins for infusions, and also guarantees their stable location even in the most difficult patients (including those with diabetic wounds).
Advantages:
Allows you to get quick and safe access to manipulations. Allows venous blood to rush into the distal veins without blocking the arterial flow Has the ability to quickly put on and take off thanks to the Quick Click \ Quick Release mechanism Does not require training in use, does not require tying on the limbs.
Differences between BOA XL modification and BOA Standart:
People involved in the military field are usually pumped up and muscular - that is, they have large limbs (for example, with thick biceps). Standard BOA harnesses may not fit on particularly large boys - their arms and legs are too bulky.
Especially for such situations, NARescue produces BOA XL - a BOA venous tourniquet of increased length for large-diameter limbs. The standard BOA Constricting IV Band is designed for arms and legs with a diameter of 7.5 to 18 inches, which equals approximately 19 cm to 45 centimeters. BOA Constricting IV Band Extra Large XL size allows you to cover almost twice the distance - it is used on a limb with a diameter of 10 to 27 inches, which is equal to approximately 25 to 68 centimeters.
