Description
HRS-I™, the kit's tough outer shell, is constructed of a 5-layer composite fabric with a protected, non-conductive reflective layer and a NEW insulation layer for added superior heat retention. Quick 360° access to the casualty with minimal exposure to the elements is achieved through the use of continuous 1.5" hook and loop fasteners located around the perimeter of the cover.

The HRS-I™ also features an insulated cone shape from top to bottom to maximize isothermal capabilities. The HPMK-I™'s heat generating source is a 4-Cell Ready Heat blanket, a self-heating blanket that is oxygen-activated and designed to maintain up to 10 hours of continuous dry heat (no external power source needed). This low-profile cube is packaged in a durable vacuum-sealed flex bag with NAR Red Tip Technology® with tabs that allow for easy access and rapid deployment.

New top and bottom insulation layers exceed the insulation performance of the Army Module Sleep System Patrol Bag. This insulation compresses well, but also has excellent bounce once opened. The added insulation is also hydrophobic and will not retain liquid or additional fluid weight.
