Quantum Controller

The Quantum LifeWarmer Controller is the command center of the Quantum Blood and Fluid Warming System. It contains a microprocessor and control algorithm that continuously evaluates the incoming temperature from the tubing thermistors and adjusts the power delivered to the tubing heating elements in the proximal and/or distal segments to achieve and maintain a temperature between 100.4°F (38°+/- 2°V) during labor. The controller is powered by the battery and modulates the power flow to the TIS/TTS-B. The Quantum controller has two connections, one for the battery and one for the heat tube. The connection to the battery is via an omni-directional plug for easy insertion, and the connection is safe and secure. The connection to the TIS or TTS-B is bi-directional and easy to make - it's plug and play.

The controller has LED indicators on the arm of the device to inform the user of the initial temperature and fluid flow. It will visually notify the clinician of the system status.

The controller is reusable and comes with a sheath that allows the TIS or TTS-B Life Warmer tube connector to be mated (connected) to the connector socket on the controller.
